The culinary concept of Chef Mgeni Mzima and his team pays particular attention to fresh, good quality products and ingredients.

And speaking of fresh, our Kitchen is pleased to offer you home made bread and bakery, hot out of the oven, 3 times per day!

Meet Chef Mgeni:

"I have discovered my passion for cooking at age 20, back home in Dar es Salam, Tanzania, when I was visiting a friend. His father was a cook and he introduced me to the most amazing dishes I had ever tasted. Later on, my friend's father presented me with some old cooking books which made me want to learn more and more about this profession. That was when I decided to attend Forodhani College of Dar es Salam.

After college, I started working in the kitchens of Dar and, after that, in Zanzibar.

Hotel de Smittenberg in the Netherlands followed and soon after that, I found myself working as a Head Chef in the luxurious kitchens of Dubai Marina and The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. That was when I was introduced to fine dining. Unforgettable experiences that I brought back to Zanzibar, which will remain my favorite.

The food must be fresh, presentable and made of the best organic products. Only then, will the plate be delivered to the Customer."
